The School Day

At Yalding St Peter and St Paul Primary School, the school day officially begins at 8:50am. Children are encouraged to arrive from 8:40am, when classrooms are open, supervised and early morning activities are available. Arriving before the bell allows children time to settle, socialise with friends and be fully prepared to begin learning promptly.

Children may enter the school building from 8:40am via either the top or bottom gate and should go directly to their classroom, where they will be welcomed by their class teacher.

The school day ends at 3:10pm, when children are dismissed from their classrooms. The gates are opened, and parents wait on the playground for the children to come out.

Breaktime and Lunchtime

• Breaktime: 10:45-11:00
• EYFS and KS1 Lunch: 12:00 – 1:00
• KS2 Lunch: 12:10 – 1:10
