Forest School

At Yalding Primary School, we provide Forest School sessions for children in Reception and KS1.

Forest School is a long-term outdoor learning programme led by trained practitioners in natural environments, rain or shine! It focuses on child-led, hands-on experiences, allowing children to:

• Build confidence and independence
• Develop practical skills and problem-solving abilities
• Deepen understanding through exploration and discovery

Adults observe and guide children, offering careful support and encouragement to help them achieve their goals. All staff will apply these principles to regularly take children outdoors, enhancing their learning across the curriculum.
