Yalding St Peter and St Paul Primary School

Ethos and Values

At Yalding St Peter and St Paul Primary School, we are committed to creating a learning environment that is inspiring, inclusive and supportive, where children feel confident to take risks, learn from mistakes and grow as individuals.
Our teaching and learning approach is child centred and focuses on the development of the whole child, academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually. We provide a broad and balanced curriculum designed to spark curiosity, build knowledge and nurture a lifelong love of learning.
From the moment children join us in Reception, we encourage them to become curious learners who are confident, independent and resilient. We want them to ask questions, explore ideas and develop the determination to persevere when learning becomes challenging. Success is celebrated as a result of effort, ambition and personal growth.
We also prioritise wellbeing and happiness in school life. We want our children to take pride in their achievements and to understand their important role within both the local and wider community. We encourage them to be respectful, responsible and compassionate individuals who make a positive contribution to the world around them.
Choosing a school is a significant decision for any family. At Yalding St Peter and St Paul Primary School, we consider it a privilege to support children during these formative years. Our aim is to provide a strong foundation that balances academic success with personal development, enabling every child to flourish and achieve their full potential.
Our school community is built on high expectations, mutual respect and a shared commitment to learning. We are proud of the strong relationships between pupils, staff, parents and governors, and of the welcoming, supportive environment this creates.

Christian Vision

Our school is guided by our Christian vision drawn from John 10:10: “I came that they may have life and have it in all its fullness.” This vision is at the heart of everything we do, inspiring us to support every child to flourish in all aspects of life.
Our Christian values of love, respect and responsibility underpin daily life at school. They shape how we care for one another, how we make decisions and how we create a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.
By embedding our vision and values in daily school life, we aim to nurture children who are compassionate, confident and equipped to make a positive difference in the world.
Our mission is to develop learners who are curious, motivated, independent, persevering, creative and co-operative.
