PE & Sport Premium
The PE and Sport Premium is government funding provided to Yalding St Peter and St Paul Primary School and every school to improve the quality of PE, physical activity and sport, helping to encourage healthy, active lifestyles. The funding must be used only for PE and sport provision and to create sustainable improvements that benefit both current and future pupils.
Funding can be used to:
- improve staff confidence, knowledge and skills through training and CPD
- increase pupils’ participation in regular physical activity
- raise the profile of PE and sport across the school
- provide a wider range of sports and activities with equal access for all pupils
- increase participation in competitive sport
- run extra-curricular clubs and targeted activities
- support pupils with additional needs
- provide top-up swimming and water safety lessons where needed
The overall aim of the funding is to give all children the opportunity to enjoy sport, improve fitness, and develop lifelong healthy habits.
