About Us

A very warm welcome to Yalding, St. Peter and St. Paul’s Church of England Primary School.

Yalding School is situated in the heart of our historic and beautiful village providing an excellent education for the children from the local community. Yalding is a strong, successful and very popular school and has taught children for over a hundred and fifty years. We are all incredibly proud of our successful history.

Yalding School was founded by the church and provides an education and care based upon Christian values. It has strong links with our church St Peter and St Paul. The local vicar visits our school regularly and the whole school attends church on a number of occasions throughout the year. The Christian ethos is embedded in all that we do.

At Yalding, children work hard and achieve much. Our standards are high and the exceptional staff team strive to provide the best for each and every pupil. The school’s curriculum is carefully planned to meet both national requirements and the children’s needs. The children are nurtured and cared for in a positive, warm and welcoming environment where all are valued. Yalding School continually strives for excellence and we are ambitious in our plans to provide the very best.  Nothing less is acceptable for the children and the community we serve.

Yalding School is supported by Kent County Council, Rochester Diocese, a dedicated governing body, our children’s parents, a highly active and supportive PTA and Friends and the local community.

Yalding School was recognised as an Outstanding School at its last inspection in 2008. In February 2014, following a National Society inspection, we were again recognised as an Outstanding School in all areas of the SIAMS inspection framework.

Yours sincerely,
